History Graduate Student Association

The History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) at UNA is dedicated to building a supportive graduate community and offering meaningful professional development opportunities. HGSA publishes The Willingham (), a digital magazine that features graduate and undergraduate work in history, and manages an Instagram account (@the.willingham) to highlight student research, writing, and projects from the M.A. programs in History and Secondary Education. The Willingham builds on the legacy of the 杏吧直播间 Alabama 杏吧直播间al Review (2011–2015) and provides a platform for history students—both from UNA and other academic programs--to publish their work, share conference experiences, and reflect on academic and professional growth. In addition to its publication efforts, HGSA hosts sessions with public historians and offers workshops on topics such as conference presentations, job searching, and grant writing. The organization also supports students interested in presenting at academic conferences. HGSA holds monthly meetings online and welcomes participation from all graduate students interested in history and public scholarship.
